Grady Cooper Jr., 89, a retired letter carrier, loving father, grandfather and great-grandfather, passed away Thursday, Dec. 19, 2013, in Grapevine. Service: 12:30 p.m. Monday in Moore Funeral Home Chapel, 1219 N. Davis Drive, Arlington. Interment: Moore Memorial Gardens. Visitation: The family will receive friends 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday at Moore Funeral Home. Grady was born May 20, 1924, in Nashville, Tenn., to Grady and Maude Cooper. He was a Coast Guard veteran of World War II and took part in the invasion of Normandy on Omaha Beach. He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Betty Bewick and Pat Eagle; and his wife of 59 years, Peggy. Survivors: His loving sister, Charlotte Pardue and husband, Roscoe; daughter, Sandra Honolka and husband, John; granddaughter, Susan Missimo and husband, Derek; grandson, Danny Honolka and wife, Carrie; great-grandchildren, Gabriella, Alexis, Carson and Cayden; and numerous nieces and nephews.
