Harold "Roy" Sheely, Jr.
September 30, 1944 – December 19, 2013

Sheely, Harold "Roy", Jr., age 69, died suddenly on December 19 2013 in the Smoky Mountains near Knoxville. He was a loving, generous and fun-loving person who always lived life to the fullest.

Originally from Alabama (Roll Tide!), he served in the Navy for several years. A Vietnam Veteran, he then graduated from Ole Miss before finding his home in Knoxville. Roy never met a stranger, and enjoyed many years in the R.A.G.S. and other Miata clubs, Mustang clubs and the S.C.C.A. Cars were a passion and he loved the Zoom-Zoom.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Harold Sr. and Rosa Sheely, and a daughter, Karen Elizabeth Sheely.

He is survived and will be forever missed by his wife, Gail Sheely; son Stevan Roy Sheely and wife Lynsey Ann; daughters, Kimberly Ellen Sheely Toy and husband Dallas, Christy Cregger and husband Todd; grandchilchildren, Joshua Stevan Sheely, Sarah Elizabeth Sheely, Catherine Autumn Toy, Houston Andrew Toy, Lincoln Otto Sheely and Brody Hugh Cregger; brother, Wayne Sheely; sister Pat Sheely; and several special nephews and nieces.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, December 22nd from 2-4 pm at Gentry Griffey Funeral Chapel. The Funeral Service is on Monday, December 23rd at 10 am at Gentry Griffey. A Committal will follow at Highland Memorial Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure.
