Larry Wendell Farley, 62, of Amarillo passed peacefully away in his sleep, Wednesday, December 18, 2013.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in Cox Chapel. Burial will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery.

Larry was born on May 20, 1951 to Wendell and Roberta Farley. He graduated from Quitaque High School in 1969. Larry moved to Amarillo following his graduation and attended Amarillo College. He worked as a butcher at Scivally's Food Market until he took a job offer from Southwestern Public Service where he worked for 36 years until a back injury ended his career.

Larry married the love of his life, Linda Kay Brown, October 23, 1992. They joined their families and enjoyed 21 years together. He loved outdoor hobbies including fishing, hunting and golf, then added bowling.

He was a beloved son, brother, husband, father, uncle, granddad, cousin and friend to a large family. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him dearly.

He was preceded in death by a sister, a grandson and his parents.

Survivors include his wife, Linda, a daughter, April Farley of Lubbock, a son, Cory and wife Stephanie of Plainview, a son, Michael and wife Diana Casler and a daughter, Michele and husband Kevin Speed both of Amarillo; eight grandchildren, Matthew, Jacob, Eli, Sean, Dillon, Shelley, Michael and Megan; a sister, Deborah and husband Jack Wellman, a brother Dennis and wife, Lisa Farley both of Quitaque and numerous nephews, nieces and other relatives and friends.

In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to a favorite charity of your choice.
