Her Obit appeared in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram on Saturday, June 12, 2004.

It reported that "Clorine Seyster Bowen, 88, a retired personal shopper for Monnig's Department Store, passed away Thursday, June 10, 2004, at a local care center."

"Clorine Seyster Bowen was born Feb. 13, 1916, in Azle. One of 15 children, she was a graduate of North Side High School. Clorine and her husband, Temple, were avid gardeners who were known for their prize-winning camellias. Both were active in the Fort Worth Camellia Society, where Clorine frequently served as an officer. Clorine always had an enchanting yard full of flowers, including breathtaking displays of azaleas and dogwoods. At one point, her yard was featured on a local newscast, and she regularly was awarded yard of the month in her neighborhood.

In addition to gardening, Clorine's other passion was her church. She was a long-time member of Oak Hill Presbyterian Church, which has since dissolved. At the time of her death, she was an active member of St. Philip Presbyterian Church. She was an active member of the Fort Worth Banker's Wives Club. Among her charitable endeavors were frequent gifts to Cook Children's Medical Center in Fort Worth.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, seven brothers and six sisters."

Survivors: A sister; numerous nieces and nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews, and great-grand-nieces and great-grand-nephews; and a sister-in-law.
