Herman H. Heyland, Sr., 78, of 973 Garden Street, died early last Thursday at his home. Services were held Saturday afternoon in the Grimes-Plummer Funeral Chapels with Rev. Raymond Wilson officiating. Burial was in the Garden of Memories.
He was born in South Dakota Sept 27, 1899 and was a car salesman. He was married to Dorothy Dorsey in Bandera, June 21, 1947.
Survivors include his wife; five sons, James Heyland of Kerrville, Lloyd Heyland of Boerne, Herman Heyland, Jr, of Alabama, William Reuben Heyland of Fort Worth, and Allan David Heyland of Oklahoma City, Okla.; two daughters, Mrs. Dorothy Naumann and Martha Fay Heyland, both of Kerrville; nine grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren; one sister, and one brother.
