James (Jim) Edward Finklea, Jr. 82, of Kansas City, MO passed away December 17, 2013 at Meadowbrook Rehab Hospital, Gardner, Kansas. James was born January 14, 1931 in Shreveport, La. To James Edward Finklea, Sr. and Lula Bea (Pitts) Finklea.
James was a retired member of the B.N.S.F. Railroad Assn., Lifetime member of the V.F.W., post 1000, and H-3-1 Korean Veterans, and Temple Gate Lodge #299 A.F.&A.M., and Intl. Assn. of Machinists.
James was survived by Wife: Margie and 1 son: Ed Finklea (Evelyn) - Kingsville, MO, 2 daughters: Susan Wendt (Tim) - Ottawa, KS, Cathy Lansangan (Freddie) – Kansas City North, MO, 2 grandsons: Bogart Lansangan (Rachelle) – Kansas City North, MO and Bernard Lansangan – Mission, TX, 3 great granddaughters: Kimora and Nevaeh Lansangan – Mission, TX and Adrianna Lansangan – Kansas City North, MO
James was preceded in death by his parents and 1 brother Lonzo Finklea
Memorial services will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday December 21, 2013 at McGilley Midtown Chapel, 20 W. Linwood Blvd, Kansas City, Missouri, with visitation at 10:00 am prior to service.
