Linda F. Lauer, 52, Plainfield, sister of two Portage County women, died Friday, July 21, 2000, at St. Michael's Hospital following a battle with cancer.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Paul Catholic Church in Plainfield with the Rev. Michael Betley officiating. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the church and again from 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at the church until the services. The Leikness Funeral Home of Wautoma is assisting the family with arrangements. Mrs. Lauer was born Nov. 4, 1947, in Mount Morris, a daughter of the late Francis and Florence (Palm) Perry. She graduated from Wautoma High School and from Mercy Medical School of Nursing in Oshkosh in 1975. She was married on July 19, 1975, in Mount Morris. She was employed as a registered nurse at the Wild Rose Manor for some time and was the acting director of nursing at the manor when she became ill. She served as a 4-H leader with the Oasis Prairie Ramblers 4-H Club for 10 years and also worked as an adult leader for 4-H. She was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church in Plainfield.
