~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Cindy was the only daughter of Fred and Helen Burke Gietl. She married Gerald W. "Jerry" Ferguson on April 20, 1974. She worked many years in the family pizza shop business and then later for the Sangamon County Supervisor of Assessments Office, retiring after 15 years of service.
Cindy was a wonderful mother to her son and daughter and made sure she attended every activity or sporting event in which they were involved. She always got excited and could cheer louder than anyone. She was a generous and kind wife, daughter, sister, in-law and friend. Cindy also truly loved the friends of her children and enjoyed opening up her home to them to visit or just hang out. She was such a fun and unique person, loved to laugh and have a good time. Cindy will be forever loved and missed.
Cindy was preceded in death by her parents, her much loved husband Jerry, two brothers, Dave and Tim Gietl, and her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Gerald, Sr. and Donna Ferguson. She was survived by her son and daughter-in-law, her daughter, three grandchildren, two brothers and many friends.
