Miles C. Cornell, 67 of 3021 S. 29th Court, died in a local hospital on Wednesday, Jan. 24.
He was born Feb. 27, 1911 in Wapakoneta, Ohio to C. Merle and Mattie Cornell. He was a member of Rochester Odd Fellows Lodge No. 13, Badger Mansonic Lodge No. 345, LaCrosse Scottish Rite, Eau Claire Consistory and ZOR Shrine Temple, Madison.
Survivors include his wife, Dorothy; one daughter, Mrs.Bill (Barbara) Baker of La Crosse; one son, William F. of La Crosse; five grandchildren; and three sisters, Mrs. Dan (Vera McKeever of Sarasota, Fla., and Mrs. Herschel (Susan) Morris and Marjorie Cornell, both of Wapakoneta.
He was preceded in death by two sisters and four brothers.
Memorial services will be at 3 p.m. Saturday at the Wesley United Methodist Church, the Rev. T. Edmond White officiating. The body will be cremated, and there will be no visitation.Memorials may be given to Wesley United Methodist Church or the Shriners Hospitals for Crippled Children.
