Andrew was born in Webster Co., MS. He grew up on a farm. His family moved to Texas sometime in the 1900s and for a short time he lived in Navarro County, where he met his wife, Annie Reece. They were married December 28, 1900. They moved to Temple, Bell County, TX, and that was where they lived during their married life. They had one son, Wesley.
The funeral service was held at his residence on the pike near Ferndale. He was a member of the Temple Lodge of Woodmen of the World.
