Cheryl Marcine Franklin was born June 24, 1947 to Lenna and Leo Cabral in San Jose, California. Cheryl had three brothers; Mike, Ron and Ted and one sister Tammy. The family spent most of her teenage years living in California at which point they all moved to Wyoming.

Cheryl attended Dean Morgan junior high and graduated from NCHS. After high school she enrolled in and completed Cosmetology school to do hair which became her life long career. After completing junior high she met George Michael Franklin, who would quickly become her husband. Cheryl married the love of her life, the one who held her heart until the day that she died, her soul mate in 1967.

Cheryl and Mike had three children; Scott, Cody and Allan. They raised their children in Wyoming until they followed the oil to California in 1988. They lived in California for approximately a year when their eldest son was killed in an automobile accident. After the death of Scott the whole family came back to Wyoming.

Cheryl and Mike moved to a little home outside of town where they had lots of chickens and plenty of room for the kids from the entire family to run and play. Cheryl was blessed with the first to come of many grandchildren, Scotty in 1991. The little red head became the center of the universe to his Nanna, until the rest of her grandchildren would later come and bless her life as a Nanna; one of her proudest titles during her life here on this earth. These blessings she took so much pride in are Dekoda, Haley, Akeyla, and Hayden.

Shortly after the birth of Scotty, Cheryl lost her soul mate in an automobile accident in 1993. She would never marry again and would someday be reunited with the Prince she loved so much.

Cheryl lived most of her life helping anyone in the family that needed a home to stay in or a hand to help out. She was a life line to many in times of trouble and could always be counted on to help pick someone up that need to get their footing back.

On December 17, 2013 Cheryl Franklin went to be with the Lord and so many that she loved and lost.

Cheryl's survivors include; her son AJ Franklin - Wife Angel and their three children, her daughter Cody Staten - Husband Rob and their two children. She is also survived by three siblings and their families; Mike Cabral- Wife Barb, Tammy Herrera - Husband John, Ted Cabral – Wife Tracy. Cheryl has many cousins and generations of nieces and nephews, all of whom had a very special place in her heart. Cheryl is also survived by her long time best friend Nancy Kirby.

Cheryl is preceded in death by her loving family members that welcomed her into heaven; husband Mike, son Scott, mother Lenna, Aunt Trella, and brother Ron, as well as all her grandparents, aunts and uncles.
