Domenico "Dominick" Borrelli was born March 6, 1881 in Troia, Provincia di Foggia, Puglia, Italy . He came to the United States twice once in 1906 and worked in order to return to Italy to marry Carmella Casoli sometime between 1909-1911. His final immigration to the United States was in 1911. Carmella came over in 1916 under her maiden name with their first child, 5 year old Philomena they settled in Washington D.C. Dominick and Carmella had another child Peter (Petro) D. Carmella died a few months after the birth of Peter in 1918 during the Spanish Flu epidemic.
Dominick married Josephine Curci (maiden name, she was widow of Rocco Bonomorta prior to marriage to Dominick), also an Italian immigrant. They had three children, Mary Rita, Michael (died in infancy) and Josephine Catherine. Dominick's second wife Josephine died in 1938. Both of Dominick's wives and the baby Michael are buried in St. Mary's Cemetery in Washington, D.C
Dominick died June 15, 1943 in Washington, DC.
WWI draft card has birth year as 1881. Note: birth info on headstone came from inaccurate family information, stone was placed late 1980's by daughter that was orphaned at 13 years of age.
