MELVILLE - Funeral services for Miss Hazel L. Abram, 55, will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday in Antioch Missionary Baptist Church here with burial in Sweet
Home Community Cemetery. The Rev. J.F. Shaw will conduct the services.

Miss Abram died at 3:07 p.m. Wednesday, August 8, 2001, in Doctors' Hospital in Opelousas.

She was a member of Melville Women's Society, Worthy Matron
Mary Chapter #142 O.E.S., church secretary and an Instructor at Melville Elem. School - 30 years.

Survivors include: her mother, Elnora Elie Abram of Melville; two daughters, Tracy Farris-Mason of Clarksville, Tenn., and Tamara Jackson-St. Romain of Opelousas; three brothers, Fred Abram of Carson, Calif., Charles Abram of
Gardena, Calif., Rickey Abram of Los Angeles, Calif.; four sisters, Audrey Higgins of Houston, Texas, Hattie Abram of Melville, Jacqueline Walker of Hawthorne, Calif., and Barbara Abram of Stockbridge, Ga.; and six grandchildren. She also leaves to mourn a host of nieces, nephews, other
relatives and friends.

Miss Abram was preceded in death by her father, James Abram Sr.; and two brothers, Staff Sargent James Abram Jr. and Felix Roy Abram.

Visiting hours will be observed from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday in Antioch Baptist Church in Melville.

Williams Funeral Home of Opelousas is in charge of arrangements.
