ORA ZADIE JOHNSON WALKER, AGE 87
and a resident of Franklinton died at 7:54 pm Sunday December 15, 2013 at Good Samaritan Nursing Home. She was a longtime member of First United Pentecostal Church of Franklinton who enjoyed cooking for her family. She loved growing her many flowers and liked to crochet.
Survived by:
2 Daughters: Betty L. Holliday, Marye Dykes both of Franklinton
2 Sons: Marshall Wayne Walker, Scottie Walker both of Franklinton
9 Grandchildren: Debbie Cutrer, Randy Dykes, Randell Dykes, David Riley, Tina Thurman, Jackie Walker, Sandra Sheridan, Jacob Walker, Brandon Wlaker
19 Great Grandchildren and 8 Great-great grandchildren
She was preceded in death by her husband Vernon Ray Walker, daughter Bonnie Sue Bennett, her father Will Johnson, mother and stepfather Zadie Mulkey Clark and Floyd Clark, 2 brothers Ed Johnson and D.C. Johnson, a half-sister Ollie Smith and 3 great-grandchildren John Goings, Crystal Riley, Tommy Ray Lavinghouse.
Visitation will be at First United Pentecostal Church of Franklinton from 6 pm until 10 pm Tuesday December 17th and from 9 am until 10 am Wednesday. A funeral service will be held in the church at 10 am Wednesday with Rev. James Hamilton officiating. Burial will follow in the Plainview Baptist Church Cemetery.
