Mrs. Theodore Wagner (sic) died last Saturday, Jan. 29, leaving a husband and
son to mourn her hoss. Her death was a shock to all her relatives and friends.
The funeral took place last Tuesday at the St. Peter's Lutheran church.
Manitowoc Pilot, Thursday, February 3, 1910 P. 8

"Sie starb ach, starb uns viel zu früh
Zu früh auch für die Ihren.
Die alle wehmutsvoll um sie
An ihren Grube weinen.

Sie hat ihr Ziel in Schmerz vollbracht
Nun wünschen wir ihr gute Nacht
Bis wir uns einstens wiederseh'n
Wenn alle Geister auferstehen'n"

"She died, oh, died too soon for us,
And too soon for hers as well,
Who all, filled with sorrow,
Weep for her at her grave.

She has attained her goal in pain,
Now we wish her a good night
Until we meet again,
When all spirits are resurrected."
