Burial will follow in the church cemetery with military honors by the Randolph County Honor Guard.
Marvin was a native of Randolph County, retired from Klopman Mills and a farmer. He was a US Army veteran of WWII and a member of Holly's Chapel Pentecostal Holiness Church, where he was active as a deacon, trustee and Sunday school superintendent. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 65 Years, Dorothy, and by his brothers, George, Ed, and Richard Hughes.
Survivors: daughters, Pansy H. York, and husband J.C., of Ramseur, Barbara Ann "Brandy" Spatz, and husband Cliff, of Greensboro, sons, Johnny F. Hughes, and wife Shirley, of Ramseur, Marvin "Bud" Hughes, and wife Patricia, of Ramseur, eight grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren, two great great grandchildren.
