Mrs. Penland was born in Newberry, S.C., to the late Harvey Eugene and Mary Helen Turner Berry. She lived most of her life in South Carolina. She was a member of East Side Baptist Church in Aiken. She gave her life to being a housewife and mother.
She is survived by one daughter, Patricia A. Caudle and her beloved son-in-law, Gene Caudle of Aiken, one son, Manley Edward Penland (Eddie) of Aiken; two grandsons, Donald Gene Caudle, Jr. (Wendy) of Ackworth, Ga., and Joseph Alan (Beverly) Caudle of Aiken; two great-grandchildren, Christian Cody Caudle and Trenton Shayne Caudle.
Funeral services will be held this Tuesday, June 15, 2004, at 5 p.m., in the chapel of Hatcher Funeral Home with the Rev. Tim John son officiating.
Interment will follow in Aiken Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers will be Bobby Martin Charles Widener, Ronnie Clark, Drew Rhodes, Donnie Caudle and Joey Caudle.
The family will receive friends this Monday evening from 6 to 8 p.m., at the funeral home.
