OSCAR BEHNKE

Oscar Behnke, 59, Rockland farmer, stricken with a heart attack while attending New Year's Day services Saturday morning at the St. Peter Lutheran Church, Rockland, died three hours later at his home.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the St. Peter Lutheran Church, Rockland. The Rev. Victor Weyland will officiate and burial will be in the church cemetery.
He was born in Cato in 1896, son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Edward
Behnke. The family moved to Rockland a few years later. In 1915 he married Miss Louisa Wagner and they located on a farm in the town.

Surviving are his wife; son, Elmer on the home farm; daughter, Mrs. Alvin Reese of Brillion; three brothers, Henry of Collins, Fred of Reedsville and Paul of Brillion; ten sisters, Mrs. Charles Wagner and Mrs. Arthur Otto of Chilton; Mrs. Arno Seehafer, Mrs. Otto Risch Sr., Mrs. Hugo Zutz Sr., Mrs. William Kanter and Mrs. Frederick Graf
of Brillion, Mrs. John Utke, Mrs. Alfred Ziemer and Mrs. Otto B____ of Reedsville; and five grandchildren.

Friends may call at the Berge Funeral Home. The casket will be moved to the church at 10 a.m. Tuesday.
