LOUISE BEHNKE
Mrs. Oscar Behnke, 64, of the Town of Rockland, Manitowoc County, died Tuesday evening at the home of her son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Elmer E. Behnke, of the Town of Rockland.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at St. Peter Evangelical Lutheran Church, Collins, Manitowoc County, the Rev. Philip Press officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Mrs. Behnke was born Louise Wagner Sept. 26, 1896, in the Town of Eaton, Manitowoc County, daughter of the late John and Caroline Zimmerman Wagner. She was married to Oscar Behnke Sept. 14, 1915, at St. Peter Church, Collins, and they farmed in the Town of Rockland all their lives. Her husband, two sisters and a brother preceded her
in death.
Survivors include a son, Elmer, on the homestead farm; a daughter, Mrs. Elvin Reese of Brillion; a sister, Mrs. Theodore Wagner of Kiel; three brothers, Charles of Rt. 2, Reedsville, Herman of Rt. 3, Manitowoc, and Ferdinand of Chilton; five grandchildren and one great grandchild.
Friends may call after 2 p.m. Thursday at Reedsville Funeral Home until 10:30 a.m. Friday when the casket will be moved to the church, where the body may be viewed from 11 a.m. until the time of service.
