Seven RAF airmen, in Canada for flight training under the British Commonwealth Air Training Plan (BCATP), lost their lives when two of 31 ANS's Avro Anson training aircraft, #N9592 and #N9652, collided and crashed at Bond Head near Camp Borden.

The airmen who perished in the crash of Avro Anson (#N9595) were-

RAF Flight Sergeant Henry DODSWORTH,

RAF Aircraftman 1st Class Colin Trevor DOUGLAS,

RAFVR Leading Aircraftman Stanley PORTER and

RAFVR Leading Aircraftman Eric Alfred RUNDELL.

And the airmen who perished in the crash of Avro Anson (#9652) were-

RAF Sergeant John Clydesdale BELL,

RAFVR Leading Aircraftman Maurice Godfrey FOLKARD and

RAFVR Leading Aircraftman Ivor Wilfred JACKSON.
