Mr. Fleming was preceded in death by his father John Fleming,maternal grandparents, Bill and Ava Stanley, paternal grandparents Jim and Lula Fleming, several aunts and uncles.
Survivors include his wife of 49 years, Billie Etta Dotson Fleming, his sons William Wesley Fleming and Brent Allen Fleming and his mother, Emma Jean Fleming all of Clintwood. Other survivors are his granddaughter, Jade Fleming Stanley and husband Jeremy and great granddaughter Kendall Carson Stanley all of Meadowview, Virginia; one sister, Libby Brown and husband Kent of Bridgewater, Virginia; two nieces Meredith Nicely and husband Bobby of Christiansburg, Virginia and Natalie Sherlock and husband Shawn of Addie Ababa, Ethiopia; two special Aunts, Patty Jo Marshall of Louisville, Georgia and Nina Rider of South Lyon Michigan; a host of other relative and friends.
Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, December 18th, at 7:00 pm in the Clintwood Funeral Home Chapel with Stacy Potter officiating. Family will receive friends from 5:00 pm until time of service. Family and friends are requested to meet at the funeral home at 12:30 pm on Thursday, December 19th, to proceed to Phipps Memorial Cemetery for graveside services beginning at 1:00 pm. Red Onion State Prison Honor Guard will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers are Doug Fleming, Jeff Umberger and John Mullins.
