INA -- Stanley H. Wells, 93, of Celina, Tenn., formerly of Ina, passed away Monday, Dec. 16, 2013, at Celina Health Care and Rehab Center.

He was born Sept. 27, 1920, in Bonnie, the son of James and Grace (Johnston) Wells.

He married Louise Summers on Dec. 26, 1945, and she survives.

He was a member of Church of God. He attended Bonnie Church of God for 23 years. He was a Christian.

Stanley retired from General Motors, where he worked for 30 years. He had been retired for 28 years.

He served his country in the U.S. Army during World War II.

Mr. Wells is survived by two children, Gloria Schmitz of Celina, Tenn., and Mark Wells and wife, Thersa, of Fredericksburg, Va.; seven grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; two great-stepgrandchildren; 11 great-great-grandchildren; two great-great-stepgrandchildren; and two brothers, Charles Wells and wife, Janet, of Ina and James Wells and wife, Betty, of Myrtle Point, Ore.

Mr. Wells was preceded in death by his parents; one daughter, Karen Sharp; one great-grandchild; one brother, Carl Wells; and four sisters, Velma Lee Rhynes, Lorene Osborn, Wilma Shaffer and Joann Leffler.

Services for Mr. Wells will be at 1 p.m. Friday, Dec. 20, in Johnston Funeral Home in Ina with the Rev. Jack Gatson officiating. Burial will be in Kirk Cemetery in Ina. Military rites will be performed at the cemetery by Mount Vernon American Legion Post 141. Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
