Roy Lee Bowling, 60, Latonia, Kentucky entered into rest Saturday, August 7, 2004 at his residence from multiple medical complications which led to heart failure. Roy was born at home in Springlake to the late, David James & Pearl Alice Bowling. He worked several years at Lingo Manufacturing in Florence before moving onto the Kentucky State Highway Department (Covington District Office), where he retired after 21 years. Roy was always eager to help a stranger in need and enjoyed getting out to flea markets and rummage sales to see what he could trade or purchase.

Survivors are his wife of nearly 39 years, Shirley Ann Moore Bowling; two adopted children, Patrick and Donna; brother, David H. (Joyce) Bowling of Latonia; many nephews and nieces, including Daniel (Nina) Bowling Sr., and the close relationship they shared throughout the years; also many other family and friends. Swindler & Currin, Latonia coordinating arrangements. After the funeral, burial will be at Richwood Presbyterian Cemetery.
