Jerry L. Woods, has taken his place to be with God as of April 4, 2008.
He was a longtime resident of Bristol, Virginia and a member of the Tennessee Ave. Baptist Church. He was a former employee of Malcolm's Meat, Food City on Euclid Ave. and Bristol Compressors.
He was preceded in death by his mother Ella Mae Smoot Woods.
Survivors include:
Wife: Barbara Woods
Son: Jeff Woods of Bristol
Daughter: Christy Collins of Bristol
Lisa Stubblefield and husband Robert of Flint, Michigan
Grandchildren: Lauren Brown, Kaitlyn Brown, Jerry Stubblefield and Bobby Stubblefield
He will also be missed by many friends
Funeral service will be held Tuesday, April 8, 2008 at 7:30 PM in the Weaver Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Joe Hudson and Brother Phil Whitaker officiating.
The burial will be Wednesday at 1:00 PM in Mountain View Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be family and friends. Honorary Pallbearers will be Paul Beam, Rob Mabe, Fred Williams and Wesley Roberts.
The family will receive friends from 5:30-7:15 PM prior to the service.
The family is requesting donations, in lieu of flowers.
