Funeral services will be held at 7p.m. Friday at Arnold Funeral Home with Rev. Glenn Forman officiating. Visitation is from 6-7p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Graveside services will be held at 11a.m. Saturday at Elmwood Cemetery.
Elmer was born July 16, 1937 in Thompsn, the son of Lewis Benjamin and Nina Ellen(Belcher) Williams. He was one od eight children.
He married Lyndia Long in June 1959. They had three children, Elmer Jr., Robert Wayne, and Sharon Kay. On February 14, 1972 in Mexico he married Evelyn Greenburg and they had two children, James Lee and Shanon Wayne.
Elmer worked forty years for Mo. Cities Water Co. and Mo American Water. He was part of the ditch crew ad worked up to service man, retiring in early 2000.
He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers, Herbert, Gilbert, and David Martin. and Delbert Williams. two children, Robert and Sharon and three grandchildren.
Elmer is survived by two sisters, Irene Powell of Thompson, nd Barbara Meek of Mexico, one brother, Roy William of Mexico, three sons, Elmer Jr.(Tina) of Thompson, James(Jami)of Mexico, and Shanon (Adi) of Mexico, five grandchildren, Ashley, Ben, Kyser, Braden and Katelynn and three adopted granddaughters, Jennifer Stuart, Lindsay Polston, ND Jessica bARNES.
He is also survived by his wife, Evelyn and his ex wife and friend Lydia Smith and husband Bob and their daughter, Susie.
