Sarah ...she was interesting. She married twice. Had a child from her first marriage and 12 from her second. Her second husband had six children from his first marriage, who ranged in age from 5-19. His first wife had died four months earlier...so I assume she raised his children alongside hers.

At the time of her marriage to Isaac, five of seven children born to he and Elizabeth included John age 16, Sarah age 14, Frances age 11, Louise Ida age 9, and Martha age 8.

By 1870 Isaac's children, John and Sarah were not living in the home, however, the remaining three were.

The oldest child of Sarah's second marriage was my GGrandmother Eliza. She, like her mother and father, also had 12 children.
