Carolyn L. Henschen, 61, of Bowling Green, died Monday, April 27, 2009, in Toledo, Ohio. She was born July 10, 1947, in Rudolph, Ohio to Donald C. and Louise A. (Wilhelm) Adler. She married D. Michael Henschen on September 13, 1975, and he survives in Bowling Green. She was a former Administrative Assistant for the Ohio Department of Transportation for 30 years. She currently was the Administrative Assistant the past 7 years for the Wood County Educational Service Center. Carolyn was a member of St. Thomas More University Parish, attended both St. Aloysius and St. Louis Catholic Churches, former member of the Bowling Green Falcon Club, Bobcat Booster Club, B.G. Blueliner's Club and was a long time volunteer for the Bowling Green Pee Wee League organization serving as Concession Stand Manager and various fundraising committees. She was inducted into the B.G. Pee Wee League Hall of Fame in 2001. She also loved gardening, dogs and taking vacations. Also surviving are sons, Aaron (Sabrina) of Overland Park, KA, Nate (Heidi) of Bowling Green; daughters, Dee (Marty) Dansack of Oregon, Ohio, Andi (Tim) Fintel of Custar, Ohio; brothers, Ronald of Reno, Nevada, Gary of Bowling Green; sisters, Denise Adler Prosak of Seal Beach, CA, Annette Crawford of Findlay; five grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a brother, Rick. A Mass of Christian Burial will be on Friday, May 1, 2009, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Aloysius Catholic Church in Bowling Green. Rev. Mark Davis will officiate. Interment will follow at St. Louis Catholic Cemetery Custar, Ohio. Friends may call on Thursday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Dunn Funeral Home with a vigil service at 7:45 p.m. Memorial contributions may be given to the Wood County Unit of the American Cancer Society .
