Selma -Elizabeth Ann Ross, 85, passed away Sunday morning December 15, 2013 at Liberty Village.

She was born May 2, 1928 in Selma, Indiana, the only child of John William and Elta C. (Faught) Boots. She was a 1946 graduate of Selma High School. She married Gordon L. Ross on October 2, 1948 at Selma Methodist Episcopal Church.

After raising her two children, she served Selma Elementary School for 23 years as secretary and later as the library assistant. She was a member of the Selma Women's Club, and St. Paul's United Methodist Church where she served as a member of the Church Council and on the Missions and Pastor-Parish Committees. Among her hobbies and interests were quilting, reading, and travel.

Survivors include her husband of 65 years, Gordon L. Ross of Selma: a son John Gordon Ross (wife Sarah Rocco-Ross) of Hickory, North Carolina and a daughter, Lee Ann Short (husband Benny R. Short) of Mount Juliet, Tennessee. She leaves behind two grandchildren, Mary Ann Short and Katherine (Randy) Johnson and great-grandson Benjamin Thomas-Short.

She was preceded in death by her parents.
