Amy Michele Barber, 43, passed away at the home of her parents on December 8, 2013. Amy was born in Fayetteville on November 9, 1970 to Jerry Leonard Barber and Millis Thomas Barber. Amy was a lifetime member of New Hope Baptist Church.
Amy was raised in Raleigh and graduated from Enloe High School. She received an Associate Degree from Wake Tech Community College. She also attended Meredith College and East Carolina University, where she was a member of Zeta Tau Alpha Sorority. In 2011, she obtained her certification as paralegal from UNC at Chapel Hill.

The funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm Wednesday, December 11, 2013 at Hanes-Lineberry Sedgefield Chapel, 6000 High Point Road, Greensboro, NC 27407 with Dr Richard Childress and Dr Jack Coffey officiating. Burial will follow in Guilford Memorial Park, Greensboro. The family will visit prior to the service from 1:00 to 2:00 pm at Hanes-Lineberry Sedgefield Chapel.
Surviving are her parents: Jerry and Millis Barber, brother: Steven Leonard Barber of Raleigh and a special cousin: Robyn Thomas of Graham, as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
