"Criss", as her friends knew her, spent her life as a faithful caregiver and was particularly skilled in caring for both men and women in their last years of life.
She was a gifted artist who worked in both acrylics and in designig jewelry and objects covered with bead-work. She loved her garden, flowers, shrubs, and vegetables thrived under her green thumb.
Criss is survived by her brothers, Tom Criss (Linda) of Desert Hot Springs, CA and Jim Peterson (Sharon) of Montclair, CA; many nieces and nephews, and her devoted friends, John and Fay Fehd of Monterey and Dorothy Fontana and Denny Skotak of Studio City.
At her request, no service will be held.
Her ashes will be scattered by her family in a private ceremony. Memorials preferred to SPCA of Monterey County, 1002 Monterey-Salinas Hwy, Monterey, CA 93940.
