Henry LeRoy Armstrong, 70, died at the Lake District Hospital Wednesday, Dec. 4, 2013 following a lengthy illness.
He was born May 27, 1943 to Bill & Eva (Meyers) Armstrong in Red Bluff, Calif. He was raised and educated in Gerber, Calif. and attended Red Bluff High School.
He was married to Marcella May Maguire May 24, 1964 in Virginia City, Nev.
His work included the Calif. Fish & Game, and being a lineman for PG&E working in various towns. The couple came to Lakeview in 1971 where he worked for Buck Cartwright at the tire shop and also worked and retired from ODOT in 2001.
He was an avid sportsman, who enjoyed snowmobiling. He enjoyed the snowmobile club and volunteering to work for the club.
He was preceded in death by his parents Bill and Eva Armstrong and brother Stanley Armstrong.
Survivors include his wife, Marcella Armstrong of Lakeview; five brothers, George Armstrong of Cottonwood, Calif., Russell Armstrong of Los Molinos, Calif., Gregory Armstrong of Waldport, Harold Armstrong of Los Flores, Calif., Michael Armstrong of Los Flores, Calif.; two sisters, Sue Hough of Tehama, Calif. and Rose Votaw of Los Molinos, Calif.; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
