Ms. Bright received her BA in Art from Akron University, Akron, Ohio and then went on to receive her MA in Dance Movement Therapy from Goddard College, Plainfield, VT. She was a self-employed Educational Therapist, Tutor and Consultant. A former Vice-President and multi-term Board Member of the International Dyslexia Association, she received the Outstanding Achievement Award from the NJ Chapter. She had a passion for her profession, a love of her students and great admiration for their parents.
Always willing to lend a hand, her volunteer spirit was recognized by The Beautification Award from the Milford Merchants Association in 2003.
Surviving, in addition to her mother, are a sister and brother-in-law, Laurie B. and Brian Beam of Wooster, OH; two nieces, Lisa Beam of Cleveland, OH and Ashley Beam of Wooster, OH; her companion of the last fifteen years, Peter O’Grady of Bloomfield, NJ, and many loving friends whom she considered as family.
