Marzine E. Rautmann, 83, formerly of Ada died peacefully with her family at her side on Friday evening December 13, 2013 at Homestead Care Center where she had been a resident for the past two years. She is the former Marzine Illig, born on September 11, 1930 in her family home in Pound, WI, daughter of the late August & Elsa (Berth) Illig. Marzine attended Brillion High School.

On December 2, 1950 she was united in marriage to Jerome W. Rautmann at Bethel United Church of Christ, Ada. Jerome preceded her in death on February 21, 1991.Marzine had been employed at various companies throughout the area, but most importantly she was a wife, mother and homemaker. She was a member of Bethel UCC in Ada where she was a member of the Ladies Aid. She was also a 4-H leader for the Franklin Cadets. In her free time Marzine could be found in her garden or preserving the fruits of her work. Her greatest joy was doing craft work, embroidery, crotcheting, knitting and quilting. Visitors to her home could always see the many craft projects she had started or was currently working on.

Survivors include her children; JoAnne (Gary) Strysick, Jacksonville, FL, Patricia (Frank) Mollo, Lincoln, NE, Tammy (Ray) Reiss, rural Kiel, Linda (Daniel) Langkabel, Clayton, NY, Brian Rautmann, St. Nazianz. She is further survived by 12 grandsons, 2 granddaughters, 8 great grandsons, 2 great granddaughters. Marzine is also survived by her sister; Corrine (Eugene) Hintz, sister-in-law; Arlene Rautmann along with nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a brother; Reinhold (Carita) Illig, two sisters; Carol (Roland) Fleishner, Elizabeth (Harry Jr.) Drews, sister-in-law; Lucille Rautmann, brother-in-law; Norman Rautmann.

Funeral services for Marzine will be held at Bethel UCC, (W4225 County Line Rd. Elkhart Lake) with Rev. Jim Liddle officiating.
Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
