Graveside services were held at 11 a.m. on Saturday at Crestwood Memorial Cemetery for Ronald Alford, 48, Birmingham, formerly of North Hollywood, California, who died Wednesday, May 10, 2000.
Mr. Alford was born in Etowah County and resided most of his life in North Hollywood, California. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War and employed by Universal Studios. Mr. Alford was currently living in Birmingham and was a member of Gualala Baptist Church, Gualala, California.
He is survived by his daughter, Emily Megan Robbins, parents, Zelman and Barbara Alford; brothers, Steve (Sara) Alford of Cartersville, Georgia, and David Alford of Chattanooga, Tennessee; sisters, Becky (Danny) Coffey, Nancy (Mike) Webb, and Elizabeth (Steven) Dial; a number of aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews; and special friend, Norma Robbins.
