Benjamin 'Benny' Barnes, 75, of West Mayfield, passed away peacefully at home on Friday, December 13, 2013.

Born April 25, 1938, in Fallston, he was the son of the late Ira L. Barnes, Sr. and Eva M. Franer Barnes. He was a peacetime veteran of the U.S. Army. He had retired from Beaver Concrete and Gravel Company where he was a truck driver. Benny loved country music and he enjoyed playing the guitar for his family and friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Ira L. Barnes, Jr. and John Barnes; his father-in-law, Louis J. Pensy, and his best friend, Clarence Corbin.

He is survived by his wife, Teri L. Pensy Barnes; two daughters, Kelly L. Schotsch and her husband, David, New Castle; Kimberly E. Barnes and Joshua Meier, Springfield, TN; two grandchildren, Kurtis L. Schotsch and Allison N. Schotsch, both of New Castle; two brothers and a sister-in-law, Charles and Sandy Barnes, Beaver Falls; James Barnes, California; a sister-in-law, Esther Barnes, New Brighton; his mother-in-law, H. Lorraine Pensy, North Sewickley Township and a sister-in-law, Judy McKelvey, Daugherty Township.

As per his wishes, there was no visitation and he was cremated.
