Larry Garnett Lockhart, 61, of the 2600 block of Sylvan Moor Lane, died Oct. 25, 2005, in Virginia Beach. A native of Iaeger, W.Va., he was the son of the late Willie and Loma Gertrude Lewis Lockhart and was a criminalist and the commander of the Crime Scene Search Section/Identification Division of the U.S. Capitol Police for 25 years. He was also a fingerprint analyst with the FBI for five years. He was a member of the George Washington Masonic Lodge. Surviving are his loving wife, Diane L. Lockhart; one stepdaughter, Vicki Bellinger of Woodbridge; one stepson, Tom DeHoff of Sacramento, Calif.; two grandchildren, Rebecca and Ryan Bellinger; three sisters, Delores Lockhart of Virginia Beach, Ardella Steele and her husband, Ken of Chesapeake, and Barbara McFaul and her husband, Fred of Pensacola, Fla.; and two brothers, Jess Lockhart and his wife, Ruby and Bernard Lockhart and his wife, Dreama, all of Chesapeake. He was preceded in death by a sister, Patricia L. Pewett and a brother, James F. Lockhart. The family will receive friends at Graham Funeral Home, Greenbrier Chapel on Thursday from 5 to 7 p.m. A memorial service will be held Saturday at 1 p.m. in the Fanning Funeral Home, Iaeger, W.Va., with the family receiving friends one hour prior to service.
