Robert Moncure Lamond

WILLIAMSBURG — Robert Moncure Lamond, 51, of Williamsburg, died Monday, May 10, 1999, after an extended illness. Born in Alexandria, he was the son of the late Clyde C. Lamond Jr. and Mrs. Marguerite Moncure Lamond of Williamsburg.

A former teacher and coach at Hayfield High School and a former teacher, coach and administrator at St. Stephen's & St. Agnes School in Alexandria. Mr. Lamond had worked in School Group Services and as a historic interpreter for Colonial Williamsburg.

He was preceded in death by a brother, the Rev. Thomas R. Lamond.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by two brothers, Clyde C. Lamond III of Bluemont and John S. Lamond of Mosely; four nieces, one nephew and one great-niece.

A Service of Remembrance will be held Friday, May 14, at 11 a.m. at Bruton Parish Episcopal Church. A funeral service and interment will be held at Christ Episcopal Church in Alexandria at a time to be announced.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 323, Williamsburg, Va. 23187.
