Amber Dawn Richens Simpson, age 36, of Gusher passed away December 13, 2013 at home.

Amber was born January 26, 1977 in Murray to David C and RaSchelle Phillips Richens.

She married Jason Allen Simpson January 17, 2003 in Salt Lake City.

Amber enjoyed horses, dogs, trucks and Punk Music. Her dogs which were always with her were named "Misfit" and "Tony." She also could not be without her GMC pickup truck.

She liked to take the kids fishing and swimming at Bottle Hollow lake and enjoyed camping with the family when they could. She was fond of Orange Julius drinks but one thing she did not like was snow and snowmobiling.

She was an awesome cook and enjoyed feeding not only the kids but their friends and brother. When she made beans and ham, or baked a turkey with the trimmings everyone was content to take part in the feast.

Her favorite things in life were her three children.

Amber is survived by three children, Cameron Richens, Ballard; Alysa Murie Hampshire, and Brennan Hampshire, both Gusher; parents, David and RaSchelle, Gusher; a brother, Jerremy Arlo Richens, Ballard; grandparents, Mary Lou & Al Cooke, Redmond, UT; Earl Phillips, Evanston, WY; great grandmother, Bernice Phillips, Aberdeen, ID.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Jason Richens; grandparents, Arlo & Iola Richens; Uncle, Ricky Earl Phillips; and aunt, Sandra Harsin.

There will be a viewing and family visitation Thursday evening, December 19, 2013 at the Hullinger Mortuary.

As a child Amber was involved in 4-H, she loved animals, her truck and punk music. She enjoyed spending time outdoors, with her favorite horse Dixie, and at the family's ranch in Arcadia. Amber had a love of nature, warm sunshine, and spent many summers picnicking and swimming at Bottle Hollow. She loved to cook for her kids, brother and friends, her recipe for beans and ham was always a hit at family gatherings. When her parents busy schedule took them away from home Amber was always the first to volunteer to help out with chores and taking care of the farm. She was such a daddy's girl and loved living so close to home. More than anything Amber loved her kids and felt they were her greatest accomplishment. There has never been a mother more proud of her kids. She cherished each and every moment she had with them. Ambers best friend was her brother, Jerremy, from the moment he was born she felt she had to protect him, and will continue to watch over him always. Her dogs "Misfit" and "Tony" were her loyal companions and were with her constantly. Her absence will be greatly missed by all.
