Mrs. Mary A. Butler, wife of Adin H. Butler, died of the grip at her home, 419 West Liberty Street, on Sunday morning, in her 77th year. The deceased was born on Webster Hill, in the town of Western, and was a daughter of Anthony and Martha LeClar. She was married 53 years ago and had lived in Rome 25 years. She was a member of the Wesleyan Methodist Church. Besides her husband, she leaves two sons, Milton G. Butler of Olean, and Solomon Butler of Rome, a daughter Mrs. Robert (Sarah Jane) Barnes of Knoxboro, a brother, Moulton LeClar of Western, and two sisters, Mrs. Sarah Reynolds of Ava and Mrs. Jane Mahedy of Massachusetts.
