She was born in West Hazleton, PA, on June 27, 1930, the daughter of the late James C. and Helen E. (Brown) Howells.
Mrs. Berge moved to Niagara Falls in 1950. She was an office manager at Thrift Way, ACME and W.T. Grants, before becoming the assistant manager at Save Rite Store.
Mrs. Berge was an active member of the Niagara Presbyterian Church and enjoyed knitting, flower gardening, decorating and taking care of her home, reading, listening to Country music and traveling.
She was the wife of the late Frank A. Berge, who died in June of 1986.
Mrs. Berge is survived by one daughter, Susan E. Travis and her long-time companion, James Ambrosia, Jr. of the Town of Wheatfield; two great-granddaughters, Alexis and Brittany Travis; also several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was the mother of the late Alan F. Berge; grandmother of the late James M. Travis and sister of the late James C. Howells, Jr.
