Steven Dale "Bug" Cates, 42, former employee of Moody Tire Company in Franklin and resident of Baker Road, died Saturday, December 14, 2013 at Maury Regional Medical Center.
Graveside services will be conducted Monday at 2:00 p.m. at Hardison Cemetery on Rock Springs Road with Rev. Bobby Cates officiating. The family will visit with friends at graveside.
Born and reared in Maury County, and his interests included woodworking and drawing. He was a member of the Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Jennifer Patterson Cates of Columbia; children, Robert Dale Cates, Rebecca Dawn Cates, and Ryan Daniel Cates; parents, Retha Dale "Bird" Cates and Nancy Randolph Cates of Williamsport; grandchildren, Emma Grace "Monster" Cates and Sandra Ann Cates; sister, Kellie Suzanne Ruiz of Summertown; brother, Johnny Lee (Andrea Marie) Cates of Mt. Pleasant; several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews
