Mrs. Rebecca Louise Elizabeth Boone McKenzie
Mrs. Rebecca Louise Elizabeth Boone McKenzie, 85, of Frederick, died Wednesday, Dec. 15, 2010, at Frederick Memorial Hospital. She was the wife of the late Elwood J. McKenzie, who died June 10, 1978.
Born Oct. 28, 1925, in Frederick, she was a daughter of the late Calvin Edward and Sarah Elizabeth Nusbaum Boone.
Mrs. McKenzie co-owned and operated Small World Nursery in Frederick. She was a member of Frederick Christian Missionary Alliance Church.
She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Surviving are four children: David J. McKenzie and wife Nancy, Wayne E. McKenzie and wife Carolyn, all of Charles Town, W.Va., Darlene E. Basham and husband Bob and Mark R. McKenzie and wife Stephanie, all of Frederick; six grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 18, at Union Chapel Cemetery, Daysville Road, Libertytown, with interment to follow.
A memorial service will be held at noon Saturday, Dec. 18, at Frederick Christian Missionary Alliance Church, 1631 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick.
