AREA RESIDENT DIES AT AGE 74
GREENWOOD Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Alliance Church in Owen for Wesley W. Worden, 74, of Greenwood, Clark County, who died Wednesday morning, Dec. 17, 1972, at his home, following an apparent heart attack.
The Rev. Lester Kringle, pastor, will officiate and burial will take place in the Greenwood Cemetery.
Visitations may be made at the Hill Funeral Home in Greenwood beginning Saturday afternoon and after 12:30 p.m. Sunday at the church.
Mr. Worden was born Sept. 29, 1898, in Adams County. His first marriage to the former Neva Sinclair took place Nov. 5, 1920 at Loyal. They celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary of their wedding in September of 1970. Mrs. Worden preceded her husband in death Sept. 21, 1971. His second marriage to the former Vera Hunerjager took place Oct. 15, 1972.
He moved to Greenwood in 1921 and in 1929 to his present home 5 miles northeast of Greenwood.
He was a member of the Missionary Baptist Church of Greenwood.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by three sons, Kenneth, Owen Robert, Greenwood and the Rev. Warren Worden, Oconto 12 grandchildren six great-grandchildren two sisters, Mrs. Glen (Maude) Van Wel, Milwaukee and Mrs. Peter (Alice) Turco, Zion, Ill. and a brother, Earl, of Greenwood.
