I was born March 2,1933 in Jones,Louisiana to the union of the late Martia Martin and Maria Jones I confessed Christ at an early age joining and being baptized at Shady Grove Baptist Church of Jones.My Childhood was spent in the Jones and Bonita Communities.Later on in my life,let me be more specific in 1960 I married the man of my dream.This man to whom I refer to is A.F.Bailey better known to everyone as (Nook)This marriage spanned 45 yrs upon marring Nook I moved my membership to the Mount Oliver MBC in 1960.Here I did my best to serve my church to the best of my ability.I served as Mother and my latest title was Treasurer of the Pastor's Aid Club. I was also a member of Magnolia Chapter 98 O.E.S.of Mer Rouge,La I did my best to be faithful until death.My life was transformed from mortality to immortality on October 10,2005."I fought the fight and finished my course" I leave here on earth to treasure my memories Hubsband A.F.(Nook)Bailey Children:Jean Smith,Georgia Bailey,Bobby Bailey,Larry Martin,Emma Bailey,Alfred Bailey Jr,Richard Bailey,William Bailey,Johnny Ray Bailey,Ella Logan,and James Bailey surrogate daughter Helen Dumas Jones special friend Bettie Sue King siblings Joshua Martin Jr,Bobby J.Martin.
