Claude Warren was the son of Jefferson Davis Warren and Alice French Warren. He was a farmer, ran a cotton yard in Blooming Grove, and was a jailer in Corsicana, Tx. Before his death, he was a tour guide at the State Capitol in Austin. Claude Warren married Virgie Fields in 1898 and they had one child who died at birth. His wife died five days later. He married Alice Barnett, daughter of John and Martha (Brim) Barnett in 1907. Their children included George Inmon (Buster) Warren, J.D.(Bud) Warren and Jewell Myradell "Wop" Warren. His brothers were George Jefferson Warren and Ed Pollard Warren.

Blooming Grove Rites Thursday For C. C. Warren

BLOOMING GROVE, April 27—(Spl)—Claude C. Warren, 75, retired merchant, died at Memorial Hospital in Corsicana early Wednesday after a short illness.

A native of Navarro Mills, Warren lived most of his life within Navarro county. He formerly farmed, ran a cafe business, and was once county jailer under Sheriff C. O. Curington. He resided at Frost at the time of his death.

Services will be held Thursday at 2:30 p.m. from the Central Baptist church, Blooming Grove, with Rev. B. O. Baker Jr., pastor of the Birchman Baptist church, Fort Worth, conducting, assisted by Rev. T. R. Harrison, pastor of the Central Baptist church, Blooming Grove. Burial will be in the Dresden cemetery.

He is survived by two sons, J. D. Warren, Gatesville, and G. I. Warren, Frost; a daughter. Mrs. Myra Dell Knapp, Fort Worth; a brother, Fred Warren, Corsicana; two sisters, Mrs. Lila Westmoreland, El Paso, and Mrs. Bill Cheatam, San Angelo; four grandchildren and other relatives.

Pallbearers will be Johnny Dugan, Clyde Smith, T. W. Stevenson, all of Frost; Miller Reid and Carl Warren, both of Blooming Grove; and S. S. Baggett, Drane.

McCormick Funeral Home will direct.
