Services for Mrs. Jessica Stone will be Friday, August 30, 2013, 12:00 p.m. at Exhalted Praise Worship Center in Harker Heights, TX. Mrs. Stone died August 21, 2013 at her residence. She was born February 26, 1976 in Bronx, N.Y.

Jessica Ann Stone was born on February 26, 1976 in Bronx, N.Y., to Jesse Steele and Lena Oliver. She was raised in North Carolina.

Upon leaving high school, she worked at various jobs before entering the United States Army in 2001. She served in the Operation Iraqi Freedom War and was honorably discharged December of 2003, her awards included the National Defense Service Medal and Army Service Ribbon. After serving in the United States Army Jessica pursued her education at the University of Maryland University College earning an Associate of Arts Degree in Network Systems Management in 2006 and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Network Systems Management in 2009, she also received a Certificate of Information Management and a Certificate of Assurance. Jessica later worked for the Department of the Army, Child & Youth School Age Services at Fort Hood, Texas as a Computer Information Technician. She received numerous awards for her dedication to Child & Youth School Age Services.

Jessica married Cornelius James Stone Jr. on February 19, 2004 in Salisbury, Maryland. She was a person who would do whatever she could to help others. She also was a very spontaneous person and loved to travel, but most of all she loved her children, husband, and family.

She was a member of Exalted Praise Worship Center since 2008 where she was baptized and served on the Praise Dance Team and worked with the Youth Department.

She leaves to cherish her memories, her husband, Cornelius James Stone Jr.; three sons: Ommar J. Wolfe, Kelvin T. Burns, and Cornelius J. Stone III; one daughter: Celeste B. Stone all of Killeen, TX; two brothers: Jesse J. (Cassie) Steele and James H. Steele both of Hope Mills, NC; one sister: Clanita T. Steele (Thomas E. Burnett Jr.) of Hope Mills, NC; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents Jesse and Lena Steele.
