Linda Daley, 65, after an extraordinary and richly diverse life, passed away unexpectedly on November 21, 2013, at her home in Tucson, Arizona.

Linda Sue Daley was born on June 10, 1948, in Prescott, Arizona, to Wesley and Bernice Butler.

In 1966 she graduated from Casa Grande High in Arizona and earned a bachelor's degree from Texas Women's University. In the 1970s Linda became an accomplished assemblage artist, making both sentimental and social-statement works of art with salvaged objects. She exhibited her work in galleries in Long Beach, California and later Coos Bay, Oregon.

While working for Coos Bay Radio Station KHSN in 1980, she met and later married Dale A. Daley.

For her daughter Stacey's high school graduation gift, Linda's love of people and new experiences led her to find a motorhome that "looked like it might make it" and took Stacey on a road trip across the United States.

When Stacey went off to college, Linda's free spirit and sense of adventure took her on yet another road trip. She joined the circus and traveled the country doing advance ticket sales. Later she spent months traveling in Greece on a shoestring budget. She repeated a similar trip in 2012 with Stacey and planned another extensive trip next year.

Linda brought enthusiasm and adventure into the lives of everyone who knew her. The motto on the calling card she used during her travels was "LIFE. Live it Loud." She truly did. Her family and many friends, who wish she had been able to "cut them a little more time," will miss her deeply.

Linda is survived by her daughter, Stacey Daley of Portland, Oregon; cousin, JoAnn (Philip) Hall of San Antonio, Texas; and friends too numerous to mention.

A spring 2014 celebration of life is being considered and will be announced to family and friends at a later date.
