Carol A. Sanders, 65, Wisconsin Dells and Lake Geneva, died Saturday, June 23, 2007, at the John C. Lincoln Hospital, Phoenix.
Carol was born June 13, 1942, in Chicago, the daughter of Anthony and Leocadia Stankiewicz Zacny.
She married Merlin G. Sanders Nov. 30, 1980, in Las Vegas and he preceded her in death Jan. 26, 2005. They owned and operated a motel in Wisconsin Dells for several years.
She is survived by three sons, Robert (Deb) Liljegren, Lake Geneva, Daniel (Renee) Liljegren, Williams Bay; and Randall (Lisa) Liljegren, Pine River; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; three stepsons, Mike (Cathy) Sanders, John Sanders and Jim (Amy) Sanders; and seven step-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Funeral services at 1 p.m. Saturday, June 30, at the Steinke Funeral Home, Lake Geneva, with the Rev. Cory A. Braatz of the Como Community Church, Lake Como, officiating.
Burial in East Delavan Cemetery, Delavan Township. Visitation from 11 a.m. until the time of services Saturday at the funeral home.
