died at Hershey Medical Center Saturday after a breif illness.
She was a service worker with the Mennonite
Center Committee in Vietnam from 1964 to 1967 and in Indonesia from 1971 to 1972.
She was a member of the Akron Mennonite
Church and of the Goshen Bibiical Seminary Board, Elkhart, Ind.
Mrs. Longacre is the author of the cookbook "More With Less," written in 1976. She was born in Newton, Kan., the daughter of John P. and Helene Claassen Jansen, Newton.
She was graduated fmm Goshen College and did graduate studies at Kansas State University.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by her husband, Paul M. Longacre; two daughters:
Cara Sue and Marta Joy Longacre, both at home; a brother: Herman J. Janzen, Newton; and a sister; Edna M., wife of Theodore L. Zabel, Salem, Ore.
