Funeral services for Mrs. Jewell Lawson Clark will be held 2PM on Tuesday November 27, 2012 from the sanctuary of the Hebert United Methodist Church at Hebert, LA, with the Rev. Richard Turnley and Rev. Brian Rankin officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery with services under direction of Riser Funeral Home of Columbia. Visitation will be on Monday evening Nov.26 from 5PM until 8PM at the Riser Funeral Home located at 7131 U S Hwy 165, Columbia, and on Tuesday from 11am until time of service at the church.

Jewell Lawson Clark was born on March 2, 1919 at Holum , Louisiana, to the union of her parents, James Floyd Lawson and Cynthia Elder Lawson. She passed from this life on Saturday, November 24, 2012; at the St. Josephs Nursing Home, in Monroe, in the loving arms of Jesus, her daughter, and granddaughter.Mrs. Clark was revered by her family, and had endured the loss of her husband, Sherman Harris Clark; her two children, Wilson Clark and his wife Murlene, and Janiece Clark Poole and her husband Jimmie; her great grandson, Timmy Poole, and grandson in law Robert Henry Clay. She was an active member of the Hebert United Methodist Church all of her life, until her health failed in her later years. She was actively involved in her community, and loved and respected by all who knew her, and she will be sorely missed.

Those left to cherish her memory, are her daughter, Shermie Clark of Hebert; and her beloved nine grandchildren, Glynn Poole and wife Leighnae, Sheila Hendrix and husband Dale, Kay Clark, Dale Clark and wife Annette, Harris Clark and wife Karen, Clark Poole and wife Carol Jo, Alison Housley, Karen Clark, and Rachael Cooper; twenty great-grandchildren; and thirteen great-great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Serving as pallbearers will be Glynn Poole, Roy Clark, III; Gary Mott, Dustin Ewing, Kyle Prince, Sherman Poole, Johnathan Housley, Adam Clark, Kenny Grant, Kenny Grant, Jr.; and Steven Clark. Honorary pallbearers include Harris Clark, Dale Clark, Clark Poole, Dale Hendrix, Johnny Brown, and Danee Duke.
